Mother Ernestine de la Providence (Superior) and 3 others sailed from Colombo on 29th October, 1903 reaching Hyderabad on 31st October via Tuticorin and Chennai. They were met at the station by Fr. Marco Civati, Parish Priest had lunch with the Sisters of St. Anne of Providence, and left in a tonga for the house which was to be the Foundation Home. The first of many instances when Providence rewarded the Little Sisters for their faith was the miracle of the well, which earlier had run dry, but was filled with water on their arrival.
