Bank Me Hota Kya Hai
On the occassion of Women's Day and in accordance with this year's theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, iVolunteer invites you tp play a crucial role in empowering women from Manya Foundation by teaching them about how to open a bank account, cyber security and use basic features of a smartphone. Manya Foundation works with women from underprivileged communities to empower them with basic livelihood
Role of volunteers:
- Volunteers will be shared a presentation on the topics covering types of banks, documents needed to open a bank, difference between passbook and cheque book, how to identify fraud calls, new ways of banking as well as how to run basic apps such as whatsapp.
- The day will start with a short quiz to gauze the current understanding of the women about banking
- Volunteers will be split into smaller teams of 2-3 volunteers each with 5-10 women in a group. Volunteers can split the sections to be facilitated amongst themselves, while adding their own experiences to it
- The day will close with a team wise quiz to see how well the women have been able to learn about bank me hota kya hai
